Hong Kong has the best business environment, a sound legal system, and the world's lowest tax rates, so more and more people choose to register companies in Hong Kong. It not only brings tangible benefits to the company and oneself, but also enhances the image of the company and individuals. Whether it is mainland China or foreign investors, registering companies in Hong Kong is extremely common. What conditions do individuals need to meet to become a director of a Hong Kong company? Next, Hongyuan International Consulting will take you through the requirements for registering as a director of a Hong Kong limited company:

1. Citizens of any nationality who are over 18 years old and have the ability to act independently;

2. There is no upper limit on the number of directors, and directors can hold their own board meetings to select the chairman of the board;

3. Section 457 (2) of the Companies Ordinance (Chapter 622) stipulates that every private company must have at least one director who is a natural person (i.e. an individual); Corporate entities are not allowed to serve as sole directors;

4. If a corporate body serves as a director of a company, there must also be a natural person director;

In the actual operation process, the number of directors is not likely to exceed 5, and major resolutions made by the company require a board meeting. The board meeting needs to be passed by more than 2/3 of the personnel to take effect. The more people there are, the more convenient it is to hold a board meeting, and it will also increase some unnecessary troubles.
